It’s ridiculously emotional. I shot a scene last night that meant a lot, something that the audience never seen, something I had never even thought of as Damon. It’s a scene with Damon and Elena and it was a very, very introspective scene that brought me back to the beginning of the show and remembering sort of where we all started from and where these characters came from… and it just made me think, wow, what a journey this has been.
